You are invited to join a conversation with Dr. Rahul Rao (India & Balliol 2001), author of The Psychic Life of Statues, in a conversation on public spaces, statues, and contested historical figures.
The conversation will also draw on the knowledge and work of two scholars in residence, Iman Iftikhar (Pakistan & Balliol 2024) and Elle Striewski (Germany & Wadham 2024).
Participants are invited to being their own reflections on contemporary questions of legacy and history.
This symposium is open to Rhodes Scholars, Rhodes Trust Staff, University of Oxford Students and Staff and the wider Oxford Community.
