In our September event, Professor Robert McGill (Ontario & Wadham 1999), in conversation with Professor Siobhan Phillips (New York & New College 1999), will discuss his book Simple Creatures.
Robert McGill is the author of three novels and two nonfiction books. His short stories have been published by magazines including The Atlantic and The Dublin Review, and his most recent book is the short fiction collection Simple Creatures. He is Professor of English at the University of Toronto, where he teaches Creative Writing. Visit him at robert-mcgill.com.
Siobhan Phillips is the author of a novel, Benefit, and a scholarly study, The Poetics of the Everyday: Creative Repetition in Modern American Verse. She has published essays and poems in various journals. She teaches at Dickinson College.
